Lusaso Ngcobo famously known as Saso, 34, is a man with a dream and always ensures that his dreams come true. A man with a vision and works hard to execute the vision. Saso is one half of the iconic Hip Hop duo known as DreamTeam with his partner in crime Trey. DreamTeam is behind classic hits like Tsekede, What’s your name, Shandi’s and many more. Saso’s vision has always been beyond music his vision coming to fruition meant putting in the hard-work, dedication and commitment.

Saso’s understanding for the entertainment business in general has propelled him to also turn his passion into business as he was exposed to entertainment at a very young age. Saso is a brand and his brand has grown rapidly and he continues to extend his brand from different meaningful collaborations to fashion, events, music and more. From being known just as a rapper the growth of Saso’s brand is a force to be reckoned with. The success of Saso’s Brunch Marquee is a testament of hard-work dedication and commitment. Saso says, “To me Black Excellence means owning your narrative, collaborating with like minded people and opening doors for others who are just as passionate because we can learn and build each other up.” It is evident when you look at Saso’s circle that he is all about collaborating but also more about building others up. He has created a safe space that celebrates and promotes Black Excellence. He has collaborated with a lot of black brands but not just black brands but exceptional brands at what they do. He is a centre for Black Excellence when it is celebrated and more collaborations begin. Saso continues to elevate the theme “Black Excellence” and promote the culture.
He says what has kept him grounded it staying true to himself, “I’ve always stayed true to who I am and where I come from and that’s what’s kept me grounded.” A grounded nature is what we notice on Saso, truly humble very grounded always down with the people. His humble nature is what’s sets him apart and gives him the ability to work more with people. His humble nature is the first thing you’ll notice when you come across him. He is truly professional and understands working with people. His humble nature can be seen all around walking around his venue checking up on people and ensuring that everyone and everything is going well. That is what we noticed about him, his humble nature and being down to earth which makes him approachable and easy to work with. Another trait that we notice about Saso is that he highly intelligent as a businessman. His ability to blend business, entertainment and culture is unmatched.
