Sheer looks, class and elegance were among major trends that were featured at the 2025 Met Gala.

Superfine: Tailoring Black Style was the theme for the 2025 Met Gala and the A-lists went all out at the red carpet. Making a fashion statement comes at a price and it is the price that celebrities are willing to pay no matter the cost just to make that statement. Superfine Tailoring Black Style honoured black style, throughout history and through the lens of dynamism. Black dynamism is the tradition of using bold fashion and sharp movement based around resistance, pride and history. From livery garments and tailcoats to track suiting, this years theme examined how dynamism has helped shaped transatlantic black identities for more than three centuries. Co-chairing and hosting this years event was the actor Colman Domingo, Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton, rapper A$AP Rocky, musician and creative director Pharrell Williams. The stars that walked the carpet at this years Met Gala payed homage to an exhibition theme with a deep history. Superfine Black Tailoring Style is a cultural and historical examination of black style over 300 years through the concept of dynamism as stated above. Telling a story through garments, accessories, paintings, photographs and decorative arts. 

It was the biggest night on fashion and all starts gathered at Manhattan’s Upper East Side to serve iconic looks for this years Met Gala. Zendaya showed her appreciation for the iconic US singer Diana Ross on the red carpet. Trust arguably the most stylish Met Gala attendee Rihanna to bring the ultimate accessory to the ref carpet this year: a baby bump. The singer revealed her third pregnancy with 2025 Met Gala co-chair A$AP Rocky, with whom she shares sons RZA and Riot. 
The African Continent was proudly represented as the African stars took center stage at the Met Gala embodying the theme. Stars like Tyla, Nomzamo Mbatha, Burna Boy and Lupita Nyongo were some of the stars that represented the motherland.
