BLACK IS THE NEW BLACK

Black is the new black, well that’s because black is never out of style in fact Black will forever be know as a Classic colour it is timeless.

There are colours that will never get you in trouble when It comes to fashion and they are the safest colours you can play around with. Preferably Black is a starting point for anyone that is looking to invest in a great quality suite. Black should always be the first option even if you not into suites, truth is not everyone likes suites but a black suite will take a long way because black never goes out of style. You can than add other colors but start with a black suite, a black suite is a must have same thing as ladies keep a Little Black Dress (LBD). It’s the same principle with men as well.

You will forever be elegant with a black suite, it’s classic and timeless, black suites don’t command a lot of attention due to a color being and reserved.

You can wear a black suite with different shirts over and over again. Avoid colors that get you in trouble with fashion police there are no rules when it comes to fashion but avoid colors that are too much when it comes to suites. The most important thing is knowing the occasion that you are attending and what colour would be best for that occasion. Events like The Vodacom Durban July, Pink Polo and many events usually these events come with a theme which is usually a guide on how to style your self. Remember less is more even though we are not entirely speaking about those events but if you are an everyday suite person you can’t pop out with an orange suite and poker dots there are colors that you should always avoid unless you are going to a certain event and that color is a theme.

Always stick to colors like brown, black, grey and navy colors that are reserved there’s also dark green that doesn’t command so much attention. Bright colours are great but know the place and time for them we are not restricting anyone but know which colors that are safe to play with. If you feel like adding anything bright colours you can play around with bright suite jackets and mix them with black pants. For example you can wear a dust pink suite jacket with a white shirt and black pants. The best trick is to keep your pants black and your suite jacket bright trust me you will never go wrong.

The city is flooded with many boutiques which coincidentally makes people wear same suites. I have been to one event where, I saw three guys wearing the same suite imagine. The best option is always a tailored suite and there are many tailors I can suggest. Also in this heat please be careful of poly cotton suites in this heat. You’d see a person sweating like crazy thinking it’s only the heat but what you don’t realise is that, the suite is also contributing. So always go for 100% suites they are safer in this heat and that kind of cotton is good for your skin.

Always choose your fabric wisely and always choose your colours wisely.
