President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump arrived at the White House for their second inauguration.
They arrived in style where they met by former U.S President Joe Biden first lady Jill Biden and they had tea in the morning. Afterwards they took a ride in a limousine to go to the U.S Capitol where Trump having served an earlier, nonconsecutive term as the 45th would be sworn in again as the 47nth president.
Trump took the oath office administered by Chief Justice John Roberts as the first lady Melanie Trump holds two Bibles (one given to him by his as a boy and the other used by Abraham Lincoln to take the oath in 1861).
Because of the cold weather the 60th presidential inauguration was moved from outside to the inside of the Capitol Rotunda. The new vice president, JD Vance was sworn in by Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The packed out Capitol Rotunda was packed by delegates that came to witness history in the making as President Donald Trump takes his new presidential role. After the taking the oath, President Donald Trump embraced his wife Melania and basks into congratulatory applause of his children who and showed unity and solidarity. After the inauguration he gave his inaugural speech. He spoke for a longer time than he did in 2017 inauguration he also acknowledge the fact that this year the inauguration coincided with Martin Luther King Jr federal holiday. He referred to his political comeback by saying, “In America the impossible is what we do best.” He than outlined the policy plans and optimistic vision for the coming four years.
The First Lady of the United States, Melania Trump Kicked off her first day in the office in style. She began the day in the silk wool coat by Adam Lippes and paired with a dramatic Eric Javits hat classic, sharp, and effortlessly chic which stole the show. Celebrations continued as President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump dinned up in formal attire where they greeted their supporters at the Liberty Ball held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. In the evening for the second attire President Donald Trump kept it classy with a clean tuxedo while First Lady Melania Trump opted for a strapless crepe gown.
