The wait is finally over the highly anticipated SneAKA 2.0 has been released as expected Megacy went all out to get some.

The SneAKA 2.0

I was amongst the 1000 that got themselves the limited edition SneAKA 2.0 and heres a little story. Last year I was looking for the SneAKA 2.0 as I was relocating abroad sadly the SneAKA had been discontinued as a fan of Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, I wanted something that could pay homage to the SupaMega. I was also looking for the SneAKA as something that I can collect as this was very sentimental to me. Sneaker heads weren’t selling at all as they were also holding on to the last piece of history. Eventually, I ended up settling for a pair of Reebok Classics that, I came across in one of the stores as it was the closest thing to the SneAKA. Little did I know that later on the SneAKA 2.0 was going to be released, the excitement in me when it was announced that, they were bringing back the SneAKA was on another level. I made sure that I am part of history as I got myself the SneAKA 2.0 and I am no 261 of 1000 that got themselves the super limited edition piece of Supa Mega.

The SneAKA was released on the 16nth of November as expected The Megacy flooded the stores to make sure they get themselves the super limited edition SneAKA 2.0. Other sizes were already sold out by noon. Here’s a cool thing the SneAKA is a true collectors item it comes with a super cool box which is very huge and it has the picture of AKA. Inside the big box there’s another box that has the actual SneAKA 2.0 but the coolest thing is that inside the first box, There are 10 pictures of AKA rocking the Reebok merchandise as well as the certificate of authenticity which has the actual number of the sneaker and it is signed by the Brand Director at Reebok South Africa PJ Morrilly. The certificate of authenticity has the coolest graphics with Kiernan “AKA” Forbes picture and the graphics resemble the designs of the South African bank notes. They did very well with the actual graphics and the added personal touches it is really a true collectors item.
As promised on the actual SneAKA they added more personal touches which make it really different this time around. They added the South African flag which is what AKA really wanted as it was not possible back in 2019. The South African flag was a big deal to AKA you’d recall that he always had it with him whenever he performed on stage. Another added feature is the hand written initials “KJF” which have been embroidered on the rear left heal. The sneaker retained its original timeless design with the cheetah-print insole and the classic leather silhouette in chalk colored garment leather as well as the iconic red heel stub.

Kiernan’s mother Lynn Forbes was also part of history as she got herself 1 of 1000 as well as the late rappers father Tony Forbes. The Megacy went all out to get themselves the super limited edition SneAKA as it was also trending on social media platforms. It was also an amazing experience to be in store with other fans that were just as excited to buy the SneAKA. I am not sure if this is something I will ever wear as it is as part of history and very sentimental mine will be on display for the longest time. It will take a very special day for me to wear my SneAKA 2.0 maybe when I get married, graduating or launching a book who knows. All I know is that I am 261 of 1000 that own the forever timeless and classic SneAKA 2.0.
